Quality Metallurgical Lab was established in 1983 by Late Mr. B. Chandrasekar — a chemistry graduate with a vision to provide Chennai's growing manufacturing sector with independent, reliable materials testing. In 1992, his daughter Mrs. Hemakumar Buvaneswari took over the laboratory, carrying forward his legacy with renewed energy and a steadfast commitment to scientific rigour.
As CEO & Quality Manager, Mrs. Buvaneswari oversees all laboratory operations, quality policy, and accreditation compliance. Under her stewardship, QML has expanded from a chemical testing lab into a full-spectrum materials testing laboratory — adding mechanical testing in 2023 and continually upgrading its metallurgical capabilities. The lab now operates under the stringent requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, pursuing NABL accreditation to serve clients with the highest level of confidence.
As a women entrepreneur in the technical and industrial sector, Mrs. Buvaneswari demonstrates that precision science, client service, and business excellence are defined by dedication — not by convention.
