Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using the website qualitymetallurgicallab.inor engaging the services of Quality Metallurgical Lab (“QML”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing this website or placing a testing request with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Use of This Website

This website is provided for informational purposes relating to our materials testing services. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the site.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its servers, or any systems connected to it. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend any part of the site without notice.

2. Testing Services — Engagement

A testing engagement with QML is formed when:

  • A written or verbal order is placed and acknowledged by QML, or
  • A sample is physically submitted to the laboratory with a completed test request

All testing is performed in accordance with the applicable IS, ASTM, EN, ISO, or other standard as agreed at the time of order. Any deviation from the standard method will be agreed in writing before testing begins.

3. Test Reports and Results

  • Test reports are issued only in relation to the specific samples submitted for testing. Results are not to be construed as representative of any batch, lot, or production run unless explicitly stated.
  • Reports must not be reproduced in part without our written permission. Full reproduction for quality records, client submissions, or regulatory compliance is permitted provided QML is identified as the source.
  • Results apply solely to the samples tested. QML makes no representation regarding untested samples from the same source or order.
  • QML is not responsible for decisions made by clients based on test results. Interpretation of results in the context of design, safety, or compliance is the responsibility of the client or their qualified engineer.

4. Sample Submission and Handling

  • Samples submitted to QML become the responsibility of the client to identify correctly. QML will not be liable for test results arising from misidentified or incorrectly labelled samples.
  • Residual sample material will be retained for a minimum of 30 days after report issuance and then disposed of unless the client requests return or extended retention in writing.
  • QML reserves the right to decline samples that are hazardous, improperly prepared, or insufficiently sized for the requested test.

5. Payment

Testing charges are as agreed at the time of order. Payment is due within the period stated on the invoice. QML reserves the right to withhold test reports until payment is received in full. Overdue accounts may be subject to interest at the applicable statutory rate.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • QML's liability in connection with any testing service is limited to the fee paid for that service.
  • QML shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from reliance on test results, including but not limited to production losses, recall costs, or third-party claims.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
